Where Our Mushrooms Come From

Where do Spore & Bloom’s mushrooms come from? UK-grown fruiting bodies from a specialist grower, wild chaga from Finland, and small-batch production in Dorset.

Where Our Mushrooms Come From

Key takeaways

  • Our cultivated fruiting bodies come from a specialist UK grower.
  • Our chaga is wild-harvested from birch in Finland.
  • Every tincture is made in small batches in Dorset.
  • Batch numbers let us trace every bottle.

We’re often asked where our mushrooms come from. Here’s the answer.

UK-grown fruiting bodies

Our Lion’s Mane, Reishi, Cordyceps militaris and Oyster mushrooms are cultivated in the UK by a specialist grower. We use the fruiting bodies, the mushrooms themselves, rather than grain-grown mycelium.

✎ Optional, once you’re happy to share more: add details about how and where they’re grown, or a photo from the growing room. Delete this note before publishing.

Wild Finnish chaga

Chaga can’t easily be cultivated, so ours is wild-harvested from birch trees in Finland. See Chaga Harvesting and Sustainability.

Made in Dorset

Every tincture is prepared in small batches in Dorset, where we extract, combine, bottle and label each batch. See How Spore & Bloom Makes Mushroom Extracts.

Traceability

Each bottle carries a batch number, so we can trace it back to its ingredients and production date.
